We just had our windows and doors installed using FL Shield. Before we choose them we interviewed a few other installers. One came back with a quote of $150k and another was about half at $70k. As you might know there are only about 4 or 5 window manufacturers and that all of these window companies are "installers," so what you need to know when hiring one of these companies is "do they have their own crew? Or are they subbing out the install?" Most companies are subbing it out but NOT FL Shield, they use their own crew and they are great and easy to work with. From the very start we immediately felt more comfortable with Gabriel and his sister. They came to our home and sat down with us and walked through every aspect of the installation, they talked about the different kind of windows, they showed us different window company manufacturer options (this is unheard of bc most installers only deal with one manufacturer bc they get kick backs), they talked about colors, tint, and everything that we needed to know. They wanted to make sure that we were getting the exact window we wanted and at the best price. We ended up choosing Mr. Glass and we are soo happy we did. They are an amazing product, heavy, beautiful, and perfect color. The install project did take a little longer than expected but that is in part due to the team being very detailed oriented and making sure everything was perfect. I do have to admit, it was a little scary bc they are cutting holes in your house (we had them cut on window larger from a 3'x3' to 6.5' x 3') but in the end it ended up perfect and we couldn't be happier.
